the one thing i see that is weird..its that they have some 14.5 and 16 footer..to..no sale on them and they are as old.mmmm ::)..

weird to see few year old yak selling the same price as new,,,this is a bit odd.

wen we see other store making huge sale at the end off the year...them they keep it and sell it a fortune the year after hahaha.

mabe they ar rare and they they are worth a lot. :P

I'm gonna plead ignorance as I was told there were alot more than just that one Ultimate 12 that you've been petting all these years Marco.

wen i see perception search 13 going for 380$ for demo last week..or brand new search 15 for 599$..those are 600$ off min..thats deal...for new yak off the year not 3 year old.

or even that tarpon 120 a 2010 moel few month new inside...749...deal.

500$ new propel......thats a steal..its pas a deal..... :(

let say in the native stuff i got my eye open...and still think its an OK price no more.

if you have baught that native 3 year ago you would have paid 899...now th same yak..exact same..that was in the SUN sorry DON..it was on the outside rack  (((the first rack on the left side beside the side door))on the side porch all last 2 summers...hahaha...so been going in and out about off the store and back rack about 150 time hahaha..and plusn the go and back frome the winter storgei no it i am there one time a week for the past 4 year for the yak season...(6 min frome work)

it still a 3 year yak to save 200 frome the price it was originaly.

now its 300 more but got the track and neew design seat. ::)..

bring it down to 499 then we start to talk...actualy at 499 we dont talk its in my backward. 8) :D

will all see that soon. 8)

but sher if you compare to new 2011..at 999 its a great deal.
save 300$..plus some tax ..it pay for a nice paddle.

but hey mabe theyhave a few and the other are inside and dont get out

Ya, I know it wasn't "new" but darn near.  ;D

But when I was pricing "new"...I couldn't find one under $799 U.S...so I think this is a fantastic price in CDN funds.

I think $699 is a fantastic price for an Ultimate 12.  I've never seen one that cheap before... we're not talking a Kijiji special here, these things have never even seen the sun they're so new...  :P 8) :D

bmac.

i got 2 14.5 version and put more then 150 outhing out off them...nothing happen.

it take the wave realy nicely.

its still and open kayak...kind off low profile canoe kind off...more stabile and that have great tracking and good speed.

its not made for BIG open water..like off shore lake ontario or the oceans.

but there is no waters inmy region i can take it.

i wont take it in heavy current area.

but flat water.....i got into 3 foot wave no prob.

its one off the most stabile kayak out there.

its as it own personality..and pros.

its not a sit on top.

i love it.

699 is good price.

not a super deal but good.

they were 899 3 year ago at trialhead new....if they are 2009 models...we cant compare to a new 2011 price.

the new 2011 model is 999$

in 2008 they were going for 899 at trailhead.

so they have some left frome 2009 if not 2008..for 699....so you save 300 frome new one or save 200 but get 2 to 3 year old boat new but still older.

but it still a 300 save..nice for the pocket.

there still few years old...even if they are new.so they lost like 200 off value for 3 years.m not mutch.

i would take a ult 14 at 1000 before tax in. before.

i am sher you can deal those...they are kind off stuck wit them they were that price all year long last year..its not a huge sale..they were that price all year and they stuck wit them.

mabe deal for skirt in etc..they have full skirt in the basement forultimate and they are stuck wit those to.

i save a load on mine.

i would not pay that huhe extra for the rudder.

not wort it...its a small 12 footer yak made for smaller water so rudder is not  must.

i am even thinking gething there and simply deal it badly... 8)...just to see....but dont realy need it.

but again its new  even if it few year old...and you can sherly get deal on assesories so all this could make a nice deal.

cost nothing to try to deal more.

joco.........a load off people have 12 footer and love them.

stabile...small size for small water etc.great vessel.

Trailhead ordered about a hundred too many kayaks a couple years back and need space in their basement for some more recent product, ya might actually be able to bargain if you're making the drive all the way here.

These Natives seems like a very comfortable and stable boat.... I would consider getting one but I am worried that it would be too easy to swamp/sink one of these.... Can any owners comment on how they handle waves etc?

The Ultimate 12s are being liquidated here in Ottawa for $699 with skeg, $999 with rudder... expensive rudders, cripes!!

$699 is a very good deal and so is the rudder version at that price!!   :o

These things are dream to fly fish out of with stabilizers on them, and very good river yaks too.

Good deal on the Tridents if you're looking to make a non angler an angler yourself... I know Philbe already picked one up.  http://www.trailend.ca/products/Ocean-Kayak-Trident-13.html

So I need to start looking.  Found an new 09 14.5 Ultimate solo w/angling package, no haggling yet but I'm in for 1000 bux after tax. Only difference I see is the track system with the newer models.  I'm sure it's a bonus, less tinkering on my end.  Your thoughts?
