Gratz to the winners!
And thanks for putting on the event!
Sadly I didn't even come close. But u had a lot of fun with the event. I would do it again for sure.
I would like to see shorter events and also different fish like pike and cats.
Thanks again rich

Congrats to all that participated.  It was very easy to administer and I will be putting together a series for next year that may include formats of month long, week long, and weekends.   Unless someone can convince me otherwise, a day event would be detrimental to weather for certain areas.

Payout will be in US$$$ and I will confirm the winners and get their prizes out in next few days.   I am pretty sure the payout was $300, $150, $75.

Pending confirmation of PP fees and iAngler invoice.

Lacking a Hawg Trough I wasn't able to participate but I played along as though I was a part of it.  Sadly I even followed the leaderboard...lol.  Still searching for a board and look forward to actually getting into one of these events.  Hopefully will have one by October.
Congrats to all and great job Rich.
Rick

Actually see you points on the month long events, searching for giants on different bodies of water could be fun

IF nothing changes...Looks like Wink takes the win!   Congrats Wink...I fished into the dark last night trying to catch you....you know you are having a good day fishing when 18.5-19 inch fish don't help you with an upgrade!!!  Congrats to EEF for a solid showing...I'll have to settle for 3rd  AGAIN!!   Also a big shout out to Rich for putting this on....This was well run, well organized and pretty easy to follow and participate.  Looking forward to more events like this.

This will certainly be an individuals choice for what they have off and what they wanna fish for. Im up for the walleye  in spring but out for Oct.for bass .  We are lucky enough down here to chase cats, walleye and ski and will fish for everything like Aug . Some parts of Ontario and Michigan salmon and trout i would think would be on radar for Oct.

The month long event gave everyone a chance to get out. If it were just a weekend derby I may not be able to participate

Cheers

The concept is a good change of pace, and agree like others that a month of bass is a bit much when so many other species to catch at this time of year. Spring & fall  Walleye one for month makes sense because not really any other species being caught at time. Windsor guys spring ,while Quinte guys fall due to the fact that's when they catch there biggest walleye.  Day, weekends, week,Species combos, duel challenges with a couple guys would be nice. Plenty of other combos and ideas im sure also.

The nice thing about a month is it gives everyone time to get out and fish...we all have different schedules, plans, family life etc....this provides enough time for everyone and generally won't exclude anyone due to previous commitments..
