I'd say wiser, bud. Older's irrelevant.

3 glorious hours paddling last weekend in the fog. skunked but who cares
I wondered!  Good for you, surprised you didn't get bit!  My kayaks are in more permanent storage this year and I won't likely get out till spring

Didn't you go kayak fishing at least once during every month of the year a few years ago, Dave? Gettin' old? Welcome to the club!
I did!  Last year the yaks stayed on the trailer ready to go any time.  This year the trailer tongue is out, the trailer is standing against the wall of the carport and the kayaks are hanging from the roof.  It would take me all day to go out for a couple hours :)  I am definitely getting older, not wiser

We'll get em soon enough bud. The fog was a little ominous at times. I hugged the shore on the return to the launch, and would lose sight of Dave only 20' away.

*stops filing teeth into points*

Oh cannibalism is bad.. I thought it was an excellent source of vitamin D!

Differing opinions...good?

Thanks Adam for keeping us civil.  The darn probablem is that it's raining on the 26th of January. How can we fish with all this liquid water melting our nice hard water.

I'm losing it this year. Almost quit my job so I can move farther north!

But...can we still make fun of Hobie's in general, just not a particular Hobie?

:D

On canoe forums the phenomenon generally became known as "The Winternet".

Greetings all, it is about that time of year that we all start to feel the effects of winter and our online personas begin to a little twitchy. This post is to remind everyone that cannibalism, bullying, attacks, call it what you want, of your fellow kayak fisherman in public view or private messages will not be tolerated. A warning will be given for the first offence, while a second incident will earn a week long ban to cool down. Access will then be reinstated, but under the watchful eye of our moderators. Another repeat occurrence will earn you a permanent ban.

Thankfully we have had very few incidents over the years, but wanted to bring this to everyone's attention. In the meantime, enjoy the site, get outside, even if it means staring down an ice hole...spring will be here soon enough.

Regards,
Adam
