Thanks guys! Where is a good place to go for shimano parts/servicing?

Shimano is the best place to have shimano reels serviced. Been sending my guide reels in annually for 10 years now. Usually $25 for a full service/replacement parts, and I have them back in about a month. Take them to your closest tackle shop, and they will do the rest.

ADAMS in Uxbridge ,I ve taken reels to Sandy Aikman  3010 novar road in mississauga

Here's another testimonial for Aikman's and he's a nice guy as well. He had quite a stack of high end equipment he'd repaired when I was there, but happy to fix anything. Reasonable price too, IMO.

Roller bearing grease a little too thick, or water has gotten down inside?  Reasearching either will involve a tear down.

Hi,

I have a few older shimano's - stradic's etc that seen to be affected by cold weather as the anti-reverse seems to slip randomly. Its a pain when your reel handle starts spinning backwards when trying to land a fish. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Thanks!

Mike
