The seat makes a difference on the resale and what the PA is worth.  The last 2 numbers on the SN will tell you what year it is.    Having the old seat would be a deal breaker for me

Make sure itís a 2013 model with the Vantage seat and not a 2012 with the old seat.    Check the floor by the front legs of the seat for cracks but other than that Adam covered most of the other things to look for

Richís PA for sale in the classified for $3k is a killer deal. No trailer, but a lot of boat and electronics for the price. If the trailer is in good shape, $3k is a good price.

Thanks a lot. What would be considered a good used price for one with a trailer? I haven't been able to find much under the $3000 mark but I did with this so I am jumping on it.

I believe it is mainly bare  which I like, can customize it for myself.

I plan on fishing perch, trolling for walleye on occasion and pike/bass. Mainly lake fishing with Simcoe, st Clair as then mains.

Any advice on the best accessories for a first timer? I know the learning curve will be there but I have nothing but time.

Couple of things to look for would include ensuring the rudder goes up and down fine. The routing of the cable sometimes chews into the hull under the hatch cover. Make sure the Mirage drive operates smoothly, without excessive play, as I believe the drums arenít available any more. Check the bottom for excessive wear, but scratches are par for the course. Otherwise itís a solid design.

Hello guys,

Looks like I have finally found a good deal on a hobie kayak 2014 with a trailer . My question for the experienced guys is what should I be looking for damage wise operational etc. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
