I have the beach bum look too, shorts, t-shirt, ball cap and sun glasses.  Yes, I do use sunblock.  I keep the sunblock in my cooler on ice. When the skin feels a little toasty I reapply.

when the weather and water is warm, I don't wear anything different from what I'd wear anyway.
Being from Wasaga Beach I have grown fond of the beach bum look. I live in flip flops and shorts all summer whether fishing or grocery shopping

I've got a largemouth pattern Buff and love wearing it, very light and breathable.  I've also got prostaff pricing on ExO stuff if anyone can't find what they're looking for locally.  The prices are OK but not as spectacular as one might think.

Summer usually in Qwik Dry UVX30 roll up long sleeve shirt with a collar, vents, very cool in hot days and Qwik Dry UVX30 pants with zipper bottoms, both great for kayak or algonquin camping.  Something in shorts and for feet use water sandals, then a stohlquist long sleeve splashdown top if it gets colder or start to rain.

Cold spring/fall in a gul drytop with a high neck and a hood, kokatat dry pant, neoprene boots

Always have a hat and use waterproof sunblock 30-50 SPF for parts that are not cover but have to admit most time forget to put it on my ears..
