I thought hook-ups were already private.

ops.. :-[

mabe they should be provate.

for me..the more private it is the better.

want the people to join....sher a lot will lurk..but at least have to join somehow. and hopefully do reports and post treads...to make the site moving

the more reports and picts and tread the better.
have to keep the site   ALIVE. :).

I think the hook-up section should not be available to the public. It is a place where our community members can plan hook-ups with the knowledge that uninvited strangers will not target our whereabouts. IMHO.

Sign in to see the hook-ups and go to the reports at the same time to see the results.

Got thinking just now about private boards and why we have 'em.  As I'm sure you know, you have to be logged in to view the reports section for instance.  The theory behind it is that not just every Tom, ****, and Harry can peep in and see where we are fishing on a daily/weekly basis.  You have to join up and become part of our community.  Lurkers are on every site, and we've all met people who share our excitement in the sport but just aren't "into" the online community we've built here.  No biggie IMO.

My questions to you guys and gals are:

Should we bother keeping some boards hidden from guests?

Are there boards that are chocked full of info that are public that should be hidden? (for instance, Hookup board).

What are your thoughts on this topic?

D.
