Being the self proclaimed world's worst Pike fisherman, I rarely enter the pot.  This year again I scored a muskie under a dock dragging a Texas rigged 6.5 cut tail with a bullet weight.

This guy was even nice enough to let me unhook my line from a snag on the dock before the real fight started.  34", and my PB in a yak.  It was great fighting this fish standing in my PA, leaning into the H Bar :P :P :P

Thanks to Brent for the lip gripper and photo.

Post up your Haliburton pics and stories here :D

I have to say this is the wettest I've ever been while fishing.  It started Friday night lightly.  At 5am the rain was a continuous team.  Thank goodness it was relatively warm, all things considered.  I think it was about 8am when the torrential downpour started.  It was right then I caught a fish and I wish I had kept the photo....you could barely make out the blob in the middle.  It did let up slightly after that.

Sorry for bad resolution, but it was as dry as I could get the lens... :P

When we saw Fishbait's hat we laughed our %^$ off......we soon wished he had more.....

I think this was Fishbait's 19"....

The rain finally subsided around 1ish, then started back up just before 3pm.

Sunday was beautiful, albeit a little chilly....7C.  Our 6am-ish start was a little easier to see by compared to the morning before:P

And we were greeted by a beautiful sunrise....

It was a great weekend, with great company.

Thanks to Jeff and to those who helped coordinate this event.  Another thanks to all the sponsors who donated their goods.

p.s. We have to work on getting Jeff to smile ;D
