cool thanks jeff.
just trying to learn a bit for next seasons outing....(if held in the same place.)
I like the idea of multi species to fill the card....that makes it fun for sure.

There will be a northern trout/multispecies event next spring for sure.  Just not 100% sure if it will be at BBC.  Fishing would def have been better a few weeks prior, and more would have been caught flatlining.
It was a max of three pike, and any combo of lakers/walleye/whities.  Meaning it could have been 3 pike/3 lakers etc
Black flies were bad but not biting much skeeters were just starting.

congrats Belly,Tom, Ironman and BenW.

That looks as tho it would have been a challenge. good goin. (kinda wish i had made it up. looks like allotta fun)

Nice gator belly...but i like jeffs black ol laker a bit better.

So now...qwik qwestion...am i to the understanding that you were allowed to weigh 3 pike, 1 laker, 1 eye and a whity  in all wknd ? is that how it worked. ? or was that each day?
also do you think the fishin would have been better a mnth ago?
& what was worse...the blackflys or the west nilers.?

Ive got my fingers crossed that this venue is a go again next year as i plan on doin it, if it is. Hows it lookin on that front jeff ? are you invited back next season?
hope so.

Difficult event. The first day i focused on pike as i thought they would provide the most total length, i landed 4, the longest around 28". I took them on a white spinner bait, mepps spoon, and 2 on a bottom bouncer with a floating minnow. Day 2 i trolled with the downrigger in 15-25ft of water. 5 hrs of pushing the peddles produced my first ever lake trout 22" challenging environmental conditions, bugs, and the absence of walleye made things difficult. Thanks to the goose sausage, and Jeff for organizing.

The numbers may have been few, but we made up in spirit!  Thanks to everyone for making it a great social event.  The goose sausage was surprisingly good!

Day1 - Nice mist in the morning, but was soon followed by rain...

Day2 - Again, looks promising, but the skies opened up and was reminiscent of Halliburton...

1st Place - Sorry Tom, my pic was blurred, another else got one?

2nd - Ben

3rd - Bob
